From 1953 to 1968, Jean Delpech spent nearly fifteen summers in Spain with his family (San Vicente de la Barquera 1953, Benidorm 1954, Andalousia, Campredon 1955, Gredos Avila Malaga Sevilla 1956, Valencia 1965, Nuevalos 1968) in Canaria islands (1958) and Mallorca (1957, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1964, 1966 1967…).
He was filled with wonder, and felt a strong attraction to this sunny and dry land.
During his long walks across the country he sought landscape scenes to sketch.
His drawings and painting of the Mediterranean nature are among his most beautiful works.
